Some people love to cook, in which case The Hyde is perfect as the kitchen was designed with keen chefs in mind and is fantastically well equipped and has masses of space to work.
However, if your idea of a relaxing holiday is to let someone else deal with the catering side to things, we are lucky to have a fantastic chef who lives on the Estate, enabling you to have restaurant quality food without having to leave the house (all the mouth-watering photos shown here are cooked by him from our menu and taken at The Hyde or The Freeth). Wherever possible he uses locally sourced produce, making the most of the fantastic food provenance in Herefordshire. We have a seasonal three course set menu, or he can create a menu especially for you. The team will also lay the table, serve drinks, provide waitress service and do the washing up.
We have recently introduced our 'Sunday Service' where the team arrive mid-morning armed with the Sunday papers and freshly baked croissants to prepare Sunday brunch - the perfect morning after the night before.
Or if you prefer, we can arrange a traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings, leaving you free to have a relaxing morning, or go for a walk to work up an appetite without having to worry about the kitchen.
We also offer a home-cooked ready meals service, providing delicious food that you can heat up to suit your timings or can be waiting for you in the oven when you arrive.
Alternatively, you can order Friday Fish and Chips. Instead of trekking to the nearest chippy, the team will come and cook them fresh for you using line-caught Cornish cod, handcut chips, traditional mushy peas and home-made tartare sauce.
To round things off, we also offer a wine delivery service from the excellent local wine merchants. The last thing you want when you arrive, a little battle-weary from a long week, is to have to rummage around for a well-deserved drink. Therefore we are happy to provide wines from our list, selected after long and considered tastings (yes, it was a tough job). Then all you have to do is seize a bottle of something delicious from the wine fridge.
